چکیده

Purpose Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) have been incorporated into clinical trials for many symptoms and medical conditions. A transition from paper-based capture of PROs to electronic PROs (ePROs) has recently started. This study reports on the feasibility of ePRO assessment in a prospective registry including molecular data for patients with advanced breast cancer. Methods As part of the PRAEGNANT network, patients were invited by clinical trial staff, physicians, and nurses to complete three standardized Internet-based questionnaires (EQ 5D 5 L, CES‐D and IPAQ). Feasibility was assessed by the staff * Shared first authorship 870 Wallwiener M et al. Implementation and Feasibility... Geburtsh Frauenheilk 2017; 77: 870–878 GebFra Science |Original Article

Integrating Patient Reported Outcomes With Clinical Cancer Registry Data: A Feasibility Study of the Electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes From Cancer Survivors (ePOCS) System

BACKGROUND Routine measurement of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) linked with clinical data across the patient pathway is increasingly important for informing future care planning. The innovative electronic Patient-reported Outcomes from Cancer Survivors (ePOCS) system was developed to integrate PROs, collected online at specified post-diagnostic time-points, with clinical and treatment data i...

Evaluation of electronic patient-reported outcome assessment with cancer patients in the hospital and at home

BACKGROUND Patient-reported outcomes (PRO) provide a more comprehensive picture of patients' quality of life than do mere physicians' ratings. Electronic data collection of PRO offers several advantages and allows assessments at patients' homes as well. This study reports on patients' personal internet use, their attitudes towards electronic and web-based PRO assessment (clinic-ePRO and home-eP...

Evaluation of real-time use of electronic patient-reported outcome data by nurses with patients in home dialysis clinics

BACKGROUND Internationally, the use of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) is increasing. Electronic PROs (ePROs) offer immediate access of such reports to healthcare providers. The objectives of this study were to assess nurses' perspectives on the usefulness and impact of ePRO administration in home dialysis clinics and assess patient perceptions of satisfaction with nursing care following use o...
